FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to military equipment, namely to methods of mobile navigation and topographic survey unit functioning in cooperation with automated troop control system (ATCS), and can be applied to solve tasks of topographic and geodetic preparation for ground hostilities. Topographic surveying system is incorporated in ATCS data exchange system and is connected with automated workstations of ATCS objects, data exchange is implemented by unified exchange protocol of ATCS objects for high-precision navigation and time data, and for differential adjustments generated in control and correction mode and obtained by quality analysis of navigation fields of space navigation systems GLONASS and GPS. Therefore, communication and data transfer of the topographic survey system interacts with communications of ATCS objects by application of similar hardware ensuring technical and data compatibility by automated exchange of messages generated by a unified structure and using common formalisation rules and common field and tactical terms and definitions according to an information distribution plan which serves as a basis for network data transfer from source subscriber to receiver subscriber. Digital topographic and geodetic information takes form of digital cartographic database containing information on a location, coordinates of local geodetic networks points generated by topographic survey system, data on current situation, provided by ATCS executive officials, current database on actual route and relative positions of battle array elements. Topographic survey system operates in two basic modes of control and adjustment station mode: operational data transfer mode and post-processing of collected data from GLONASS and GPS space satellites for further differential adjustment.

EFFECT: method of topographic surveying system operation within automated troop control system, ensuring obtainment and transmission of topographical, geodetic and adjustment information to automated troop control system in automatic mode via communication and data transfer lines.
