SUBSTANCE: invention may by used in internal combustion engines. Internal combustion engine with spark ignition includes compression ratio change mechanism that may change the mechanical compression degree and valve closing and opening moment change mechanism that may control the moment at which the inlet valve is closed. Determined is a prohibited area for combination of mechanical compression degree, inlet valve closing moment and sucked-in air quantity. In operating point, presenting a combination of mechanical compression degree, inlet valve closing moment and sucked-in air quantity, inlet in prohibited area is prohibited independent on engine operating condition. Prohibited area is the largest at minimum quantity of sucked-in air and is getting smaller as quantity of sucked-in air increases. Installed is a prohibited layer spreading along prohibited area edge at minimum quantity of sucked-in air, and spreading from prohibited area towards quantity of sucked-in air being increased embracing the prohibited area as quantity of sucked-in air is getting increased from minimum quantity of sucked-in air. The specified operating point is prohibited from inlet into the prohibited layer, when required quantity of sucked-in air is reduced, and operating point moves to prohibited area thus blocking operating point inlet into the prohibited area.
EFFECT: improving fuel combustion.
