SUBSTANCE: liquid crystal display device includes pixels, having first and second subpixels, and a first CS bus line which is associated with the first subpixel. The first subpixel includes a liquid crystal capacitor and a first storage capacitor. The second subpixel includes a liquid crystal capacitor. First voltage of a CS signal applied across the first storage capacitor through the first CS bus line is an oscillating voltage, one period of which is shorter than one period of vertical scanning, and has first and second potentials which set a maximum amplitude and a third potential between the first and second potentials. When voltage Vg of the gate signal applied in the gate bus line becomes low, first voltage Vsca of the CS signal applied in the associated first CS bus line has a third potential.
