FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of rock crushing diamond tools, that is, impregnated diamond crown bits used in drilling with recovery of core. Proposed crown bit comprises circular body, diamond-bearing working layer separated by flushing grooves to segments. Said segments are composed by parallel surfaces making the working surface inclined to crown bit axis and furnished with wear-resistant elements arranged it its inner and outer sides. Said inclined surfaces cross the segment working surface to make thereon a ring site of initial contact of crown bit with work face of diametral width making 15-35% of the segment maximum width. Note here that said inclined surfaces and said ring site form the angle of 7-20 degrees. Besides, wear-resistance elements are shaped to rectangle and have their long side arranged in circular surface of the segment.
EFFECT: shorter conformability, longer life.
