FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ICEs. Proposed engine comprises at least one cylinder to accommodate two opposed pistons with rods, spark plugs, timing systems at cylinder ends, fuel-air mix feed manifold, exhaust gas manifold and control system. In compliance with this invention, every cylinder is equipped with rack at the rod and two gears engaged therewith and fitted on drive shafts. The latter are engaged with overrunning couplings to ensure opposite rotation of two output shafts engaged with input to reduction gear box with load shaft. Reduction gear includes two driven gears fitted on output shafts and mid gear engaged therewith and fitted at load shaft. Note here that one of said gears is engaged with driven gear directly and another one is engaged via idle gear. Every timing system is composed of spring-loaded intake and discharge valves including seta and rod and fitted in cylinders heads and hydraulic pushers fitted at valve shaft ends and connected via pipelines with hydraulic control valve. Control system comprises control unit and piston position pickups arranged at both cylinders. Note here that control unit is electrically connected with piston position pickups, hydraulic control valves and spark plugs. Electric generator is connected to load shaft. Cylinder has two coaxial walls for coolant to flow there between. Cylinder has two coaxial walls for coolant to flow there between.
