FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention covers the process of printing ink removal from waste paper. Said process comprises the steps that follow. (a) Transformation of waste paper with prinking ink into aqueous fibrous suspension at pulper whereat said ink is separated from pulp. (b) Flotation of fibrous suspension to remove hydrophobic impurities including printing ink from said suspension. Note here that said flotation is carried out over ink removal chemical additive including modified silicon dioxide obtained by treatment of silicon dioxide hydrophilic particles by hydrophobic organic fluid.
EFFECT: higher yield at flotation with foam control.
