FIELD: physics, optics.
SUBSTANCE: optical device has a lens, a glaring element with a reflecting surface situated in the vicinity of the focal surface of the lens, and an adaptive aperture mask, having regions which transmit optical radiation without distortion of the wave front and made in form of one or more circular sectors with a total apex angle of 180°, and regions which do not transmit radiation which are symmetrical to said regions about the centre of the lens aperture. The aperture mask is equipped with a means of turning said regions about the centre of the lens aperture and changing the number thereof with simultaneous change in the value of apex angles of the sectors and maintaining symmetry depending on the mutual arrangement of the optical axis of the device and the straight line joining the centres of apertures of the device and a source of probing optical radiation for the device used for detection.
EFFECT: highly effective blocking of probing beams reflected by the glaring element independent of the position of the probing source.
