FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry and specifically to a method for luminescent determination of samarium. The method involves converting samarium into a luminescent compound with an organic reagent. The organic reagent used is diphenyl ether of sulphosalicylic acid and a cationic surfactant - cetylpyridinium bromide is added, with the following ratio of components: Sm: diphenyl ether of sulphosalicylic:surfactant=1:2:14 at pH=6.4.
EFFECT: invention increases accuracy, sensitivity and selectivity of analysis.
