SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to detect trace amounts of terbium during analysis of high-quality lanthanides and in natural water. The complexing agent used is an organic reagent (R) - diphenyl ether of sulfosalicylic acid and a surfactant - cetylpyridinium bromide is added to the solution of the luminescent complex compound of terbium with diphenyl ether of sulfosalicylic acid in ratio Tb:K:surfactant=1:2:13 and pH 7.5±0.1 is achieved using weak ammonia and hydrochloric acid solutions.
EFFECT: high accuracy, sensitivity and selectivity of analysis.
