SUBSTANCE: described is a catalyst for producing ethylbenzene from benzene and ethane, which contains an active component and zeolite, the active component being an oxide phase of the formula Mo1.0V0.37Te0.17Nb0.12O3, with the following ratio of components, wt %: oxide phase - 3-10, zeolite - the balance. Described is a method of producing ethylbenzene from ethane and benzene in the presence of the catalyst described above.
EFFECT: high conversion of ethane and output of ethylbenzene.
