FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy and can be used as a component for refractory mixes intended for refractory gunning of metallurgical units, as ceramic adhesive for periclase-spinel fireclay and other refractories, as protective material against high-temperature corrosion, etc. Proposed composition contains the following components in wt %: fused corundum - 20-40; talc - 20-40; iron oxide pigment - 1-5; pigment titanium dioxide - 1-5, zirconium dioxide - 1-5; sol-gel product synthesised from sodium silicate making the rest.
EFFECT: longer life of refractory gunning of metallurgical units and other equipment, lower operating costs.
