FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining industry and can be used in construction of vertical shafts of potassium mines. After penetration of barrel in non-watered rock salt rocks for determination of optimum location of water seals, surface survey of the whole surface of rock wall of the shaft is performed by methods of nondestructive inspection: presence of cracks in rock and strength characteristics of rock salt are determined. Further, according to obtained instrumental measurements, determining the most suitable interval of the shaft surface, folded with salt rocks for installation of the water seal support ring, in this interval, grinding the shaft walls, then the second cycle of instrumental measurements is carried out to determine strength properties of salt rocks and presence of microcracks in them, after that wooden water seal picotage gads are pierced.

EFFECT: technical result is improvement of safety during construction of mine shafts of salt mines due to determination of degree of fracturing and strength of rock walls in the places of proposed installation of wooden water seals by methods of nondestructive testing.
