FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automation of rolling and can be used for strip cold and hot rolling. In rolling, strip linear speed is defined to isolate strip sections of equal length. Measured machining parameters are averaged for every section to define strip suitability and compared with predefined suitability to set these parameters as reference properties in strip rolling. Additionally, static processing of obtained results is used to departure of strip suitability. Results of comparison with preset suitability limits are used to set actual distribution of strip suitability over the length. Now, strip rolling parameters are specified at rolling of strips of the same of similar gage.
EFFECT: higher precision of indirect adjustment of strip suitability.
