SUBSTANCE: method includes steps of: method involves receiving a reference signal from an access point; obtaining a rank indicator, a codebook subset selection indicator and a precoding matrix index based on the obtained reference signal; sending a first return link message, which transmits the rank indicator and the codebook subset selection indicator, and sending second return link message which transmits the precoding matrix index to the access point; receiving from the access point, data that are precoded using a matrix obtained based on the rank indicator, codebook subset selection indicator and precoding matrix index.
