SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of coding for improved standard of long-term development (LTE-A) of wireless or mobile communication and, more specifically, to transmission of feedback information for a codebook. Method implemented in base station used in wireless communication system, containing reception of user equipment of rank indication (RI), is proposed, first indicator of precoding matrix (index i₁ codebook) and the second precoding matrix, wherein the RI and the first precoding matrix are jointly encoded, wherein for RI = 2 values of 8–15 are allocated for joint encoding of RI and first precoding matrix (I_RI/PMI1).

EFFECT: enabling a decision on transfer, from user equipment to base station of feedback information for codebook.
