FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to aerospace engineering, and can be used as hand-driven shutoff valve in weightlessness and under cryogenic temperatures. Ball valve consists of the body with inlet and outlet unions and two seats with through surfaces with spherical surfaces for interaction with flow opening ball shutoff element for rod ledge to fit in. Said seat is spring loaded on the side of inlet union. Seats are composed by seal elements. Said seat on inlet union side is fitted in seal element composed of moving sleeve. Seat is spring loaded by plate washer via sealing element. Detachable backup seal is arranged on the side of rotary mechanism. Said detachable backup seal is composed by threaded cup with sealing surface and plug-in cork seat.
EFFECT: higher valve tightness in operation of cryogenic temperatures, no-problem operation with loose parts in weightlessness.
