FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: proposed process comprises filling the anode mass in anode case to be displaced, displacing the anode frame relative to cathode metal film and rearrangement of anode rods. Note here that the dependence of electrolytic cell magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) stability threshold on anode frame position relative to cathode metal film is defined for construction of plot. Anode frame top and bottom position with respect to said anode frame is defined by said plot. Said frame is shifted with anode frame at position corresponding to equality of said positions relative to cathode metal film the defines the preset MHD-stability. Said shift is performed at anode frame bottom part location with respect to cathode metal film of 245-275 cm.
EFFECT: more stable operation.
