METHOD OF CRYOCONSERVATION OF ROOSTER SEMEN Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC A61D19/02 

FIELD: veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method of cryoconservation of rooster semen is characterised in that the rooster semen is diluted 5 times in a medium which contains 100 cm³ of distilled water, 6 g of lactose, 0.58 g of citric acid, 1 g of tris-oxymethyl-aminomethane, 10 cm³ of hen egg yolk, 5 cm³ of glycerin, while the temperature of the semen and the medium is 18-20°C. The diluted semen is maintained for 2 hours in the refrigerator at a temperature of 2-5°C and then frozen as pellets with the volume of 0.2 ml on the fluoroplastic plate cooled to liquid nitrogen temperature and placed in liquid nitrogen.

EFFECT: use of the claimed invention enables to enhance the protective qualities of the medium for cryopreservation of semen and to increase the quality characteristics of frozen-thawed semen of roosters.
