FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to obtaining heat-resistant coatings and can be used for protecting substrate (10), at least, part of which near the surface consists of silicon-containing heat-resistant material, for instance from silicon carbide or silicon nitride, in the process of its application at high temperature in oxidising and wet environment. On the surface of substrate formed is barrier for protection against environment, which does not contain boron and has, at least, one self-recovering layer (22), formed by in fact system of oxides, formed by, at least, one oxide of rare earth metal, silicon oxide and aluminium oxide, and which preserves at least one solid phase at temperature to 1400°C and has liquid phase, which at temperature equal or higher than 1400°C, constitutes 5-40 mol.% of the total layer composition. Sublayer (24), which remains in solid state at temperature of self-recovery, is located between substrate surface (10) and self-recovering layer (22). Sublayer is formed by rare earth metal silicate or mullite.
EFFECT: obtaining effective protection of silicon-containing heat-resistant material at high temperature in oxidising and wet environment.
