FIELD: coating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to creation of a barrier coating on a part used at high temperatures in an oxidising and humid environment, constituting, e.g., a part of a gas turbine. The part comprises a substrate made of a composite material with at least a silicon-containing section adjacent to the surface and a protective barrier made on the surface of the substrate. The protective barrier comprises at least a first layer constituting a system of rare earth element disilicate with the formula REa2Si2O7 at a molar content in the range of 70 to 99.9%, wherein REa is a rare earth element; and at least one rare earth element oxide with the formula REb2O3 at a molar content in the range of 0.1 to 30%, wherein REb is a rare earth element other than REa.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is increased service life of the part in operation.
