FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to a method for staging a liver pathology by assessing free-radical homeostasis parameters. Substance of the method consists in evaluating the enzyme activity of aconitase and the concentration of citrate in the blood serum, and calculating the free-radical homeostasis (FH) coefficient by formula. If FH is 0.99 or less, the absence of the liver pathology is stated. If FH is more than 0.99 and less than 1.83, the inactive liver pathology is observed. FH more than 1.83 enables diagnosing the aggravated liver pathology.
EFFECT: using the declared method enables staging the liver pathology more effectively.
