FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in fitting a gaged sleeve onto end seal seats, sleeve having ID for fitting on rotor shaft and OD. Said OD provides a guaranteed clearance with inner bore diameter of end seal chamber. Antifriction bearings are assembled with the stack of radial thrust bearings. Clearance is measured over appliances diameter on both sides to eliminate misalignment by adjustment of shaft position relative to chamber axis and displacement of front and rear bearings by puller bolts. Then impeller blades are relieved.
EFFECT: method meets requirements to alignment.
