FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering and can be used in process operations of assembling magnetic suspensions of centrifugal superchargers, repair thereof and other work on adjusting the position of movable elements of rotary mechanisms relative to stationary elements. Elements for adjusting the position of radial sensor units are placed outside of the support body. The method for centering involves mounting four rods with threaded ends on the radial sensor units. Release nuts used for the axial movement of the rods are screwed onto the free threaded ends. Since the rods are rigidly connected with the sensor unit body, even an insignificant displacement thereof changes the position of the sensor unit body and, accordingly, the radial sensor unit.

EFFECT: centering of the sensor units of magnetic suspension supports without dismantling the elements of supercharger supports, ensured preset accuracy of the radial gaps, reduction in the time for adjusting the gaps.
