FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power supply of electrically driven transport facilities with self-contained power sources. Its serves for automatic connection of transport facility to power supply line and disconnection thereof in motion without interference of driver. Proposed current collector incorporates laser range finder fixed on contact panel to measure distance between current collector contacts and power line wires. Automatic bar manipulator fixed on transport facility roof is used to move current collector contact panel depending upon traffic conditions either before contact with power supply line or change said panel into idle state. Said manipulator and transport facility are driven in motion along controlled trajectory by onboard computer proceeding from data received from range finder and turn angle transducers at bar manipulator joints.
