FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of thermophysics and relates to the method of determining degree of blackness of the surface of natural fairings during thermal tests. Proposed method comprises radiant heating of fairing completely corresponding to natural fairing on heat stand with quartz halogen incandescent lamps and continuous measurement of temperature by means of thermocouples at several control points along cowl height on its outer and inner surfaces. Heating of fairing is performed with stepwise increase of heater power with step of 10–15 %, holding by time of reached power of heater at each quasi-stationary stage of heating mode, at the moment of which by means of low-inertia sensors of radiant heat flow there measured is effective heat flow from fairing in each control point twice: with switched on heater and after its short-time disconnection. Degree of blackness of surface of natural fairing in control points along fairing height depending on temperature is calculated by formula following from Stefan-Boltzmann law.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining degree of blackness.
