VEHICLE FOR DRIVING OVER SNOW Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC B62B13/08 B62D57/02

Abstract RU 2521151 C1

FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: vehicle contains frame with supporting surfaces made as steering ski and supporting ski. On the frame following components are located: seat and controls, mechanical drive of vehicle, engine with chain transmission containing driving sprocket with pedals and driven sprocket, and propulsor for transmission of power from engine to propulsor elements interacting with supporting surface and actuating the said vehicle. Propulsor is made as two ski each one of which is located on one side of vehicle frame and installed on at least two L-shaped brackets at each side. Each bracket is made capable of radial rotation and installed by its long end on shaft where chain transmission sprocket is installed. The said brackets at each side are located diametrically opposite to similar brackets at the other side. The said shaft with sprocket is located on frame, and the second end of each bracket interacts with mating place of corresponding ski installed with possibility to perform flat-parallel movement in the plane parallel to vertical plane of vehicle. Sprockets of chain transmission installed on shafts of brackets are interconnected by chain transmission. Gear ratio of the said transmission is equal to one, herewith, rotating shaft of one of the brackets is connected with driving sprocket of chain transmission.

EFFECT: better sliding.
