FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: linearly polarised electromagnetic waves with different amplitudes, phases and wavelengths are orthogonally emitted from two points with known coordinates; the resultant electromagnetic wave is received on-board the mobile object in a circular polarisation basis; the phase difference between orthogonally circularly polarised components of with right and left direction of rotation of the electric field vector is measured and the angle of roll of the mobile object is determined from the measured phase difference. A system for realising the method, which is made in a certain manner, is also disclosed.
EFFECT: preventing constant accumulation of measurement error over time, broader functional capabilities of radio navigation systems which measure bearings of a mobile object.
