FIELD: aircraft engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in horizontal irradiation of linearly polarised electromagnetic waves from the points with known coordinates. Aircraft receives said electromagnetic waves in circular polarisation basis. Received electromagnetic waves are divided into two circularly orthogonal-polarisation components of the right and left rotating sense to measure phase difference there between. Measured phase difference is used to calculate aircraft bank.

EFFECT: ruled out accumulated errors.
