FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to the field of electric engineering, in particular to electrical machines and namely to non-contact synchronous generators of an inductor type operating mainly with the rectified load used in generator units of motor and tractor equipment. The technical result consisting in the minimum interference into the brake gear is ensured by a design of the automotive alternator consisting of a base, a drive and a control system and manufactured according to the invention so that the alternator drive is made as a brake drum, rolls are mounted on a rotor shaft of the alternator, alternators are fixed on a swinging lever, and the lever rotation drive, a spring and a thrust are fixed between the swinging lever and the base.
EFFECT: usage of this alternator allows application of the so called generator braking when energy of the vehicle braking is converted into voltage of the operating coil, at that energy can be accumulated in an additional capacitor and can be used for different purposes, for example, for the motor start-up.
