FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in particular in oncology and radiology to predict the development of radiation damage to the skin after radiation therapy in patients with breast cancer without previous polychemotherapy. The method involves collecting peripheral blood for immunophenotyping of lymphocytes from a patient before adjuvant external beam radiation therapy, and determining the immunoregulatory index afterwards. When its values are above 2.5, a prognostically unfavorable group of patients with breast cancer without previous systemic chemotherapy for the development of early radiation damage to the skin of the II–III degree is identified for adjuvant external beam radiation therapy at a dose of 50 Gy.
EFFECT: invention provides a personalized therapeutic program to optimize radiation therapy plans and can be used in medical institutions.
