FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: filtering non-woven fibrous material contains polymer fibres. As such fibres used are hydrophilised ultra-thin polysulphone fibres. The average hydrodynamic diameter of polysulphone fibres constitutes (1.0-4.0) mcm. The material has a surface density (20-45) g/m2, an average diameter of pores (4.0-12.0) mcm. The specific surface of all fibres constitutes (2.5-5.5) m2/g, with the cloth thickness under the specific load 5 kPa being (0.2-0.7) mm. An aerodynamic resistance of the material to an air flow with the calculated rate of filtration 1 cm/s constitutes (0.2-2.7) mm of water column, an angle of contact constitutes (75-90)°, an electrokinetic zeta potential of the surface in an electrolyte solution at pH=7.3 constitutes (-6)-(-15) mV.
EFFECT: reduction of leukocyte content in a filtered haemotransfusion media, absence of haemolysis in filtration and reduction of free haemoglobin in the filtered erythrocyte-containing media.
