FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water or gas filters for removal of one or more disperse phase and can be used for filtration of emulsions, suspensions, smokes and aerosols. Proposed filter material represents a nonwoven fibrous material containing at least 5% of fibres in the form of tapes in width making at least 10% of means size of removed disperse phase and in thickness making 2-50% of their width. Said material has pores with mean size not smaller than that of removed phase and thickness at least two times larger than mean size of pores. Filter is made of material with surface tension in filtered medium is larger than that of filtered disperse phase in the same medium.
EFFECT: efficient removal of disperse phase that has no large anisotropy of shape and features characteristic size in the range of 0,02-100 mcm.
