FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of armaments. The method of hanging on a battle position of self-propelled artillery-type weapon with supports is implemented in two embodiments. According to the first embodiment the method comprises supplying fluid to the working cavities of hydraulic cylinders of the supports and its turning off when the calculated pressure value is achieved, which is determined on the battle position, and turning off of supplying fluid is carried out when achievement of pressure providing the predetermined force on the chassis axle of the guns and angles of inclination of its sprung part in a predetermined range of angles of the vertical and horizontal targeting. According to the second embodiment the method is characterised in that the supports are moved by the electric drive. Electric power is supplied to the electric drive of each support with its subsequent disconnection. On battle position the calculated value of the electric drive power of each support is determined, and disconnection of power supply to the electric drive of each support is carried out when achievement of power providing the desired force on the chassis axle of the gun and angles of inclination of its sprung part in a predetermined range of angles of the vertical and horizontal targeting.
EFFECT: unloading of chassis axle and the necessary speed of damping of oscillations after the shot is achieved.
