FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: sensitive element of an electrochemical sensor of carbon monoxide in gas mixtures is made in the form of a tablet from a solid oxide electrolyte; a comparison electrode is baked to one of the surfaces, and on the opposite one - a measuring electrode; with the solid oxide electrolyte being made basing on cerium oxide with a composition Ce0.8(Sm0.8Ca0.2)0.2O2, the comparison electrode is made from lanthanum-strontium manganite with a composition La0.6Sr0.4MnO3, and the measuring electrode is made of zinc oxide ZnO.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of measurement of carbon monoxide, increased stability of parameters, and simplification of technology of the sensitive element manufacturing.
