SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment and characterises versions of cleaning units for an electric toothbrush. According to the first version, the cleaning unit of an electric toothbrush having a motor contains the head part, movable contact elements and such movable contact elements holder. The range of the said holder movement relative to the head part and the holder structure ensure take-up of driving moment from the motor via the drive mechanism. The drive mechanism contains a driving shaft having a longitudinal axis and a structure. ensuring transmission of movement generated by the motor to the movable contact elements holder so that such movable contact elements holder oscillates round the cleaning unit longitudinal axis. The movable contact elements are supported inside the movable contact elements holder. There is a clearance between the head part and the movable contact elements holder which clearance includes an essentially U-shaped part on the rear side of the toothbrush head part. The clearance is approximately 0.1-0.6 mm wide across the whole movement range of the movable contact elements holder. The group of inventions also includes two versions of a cleaning unit for the electric toothbrush.
EFFECT: invention enables minimisation of the probability of the user's oral cavity mucous tunic compression due to minimum clearance between units moving relative to each other.
