SUBSTANCE: video-assisted appendectomy is performed through a single laparoscopic approach along an internal border of the umbilical ring. An anterior leaf of a sheath of rectus abdominis muscle is dissected along its medial border. The rectus abdominis muscle is brought to the outside. A posterior leaf of the sheath is dissected together with the peritoneum. A carboxyperitoneum is created. That is followed by an electric coagulation of a mesentery of the vermiform appendix. The vermiform appendix and a head of the blind colon are removed from an umbilical wound that is combined with removing a single laparoscopic approach device. The carboxyperitoneum is eliminated. An appendectomy is performed. The head of blind colon is immersed into an abdominal cavity. The posterior leaf of the sheath of rectus abdominis muscle with the peritoneum is closed. The anterior leaf of the sheath is closed above the rectus abdominis muscle. The skin is sutured.

EFFECT: reliable processing of the vermiform appendix stump and prevented herniation within an operation approach by dislocation of the wound canal layers.
