FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method for high-precision measurement of engineering objects with scanning laser systems using software for controlling and processing results on two coordinates in real time and a device for realising said method. A scanning laser beam defines the reference direction in real time using a mathematical tool best adapted to geodetic measurements and enabling to take one-dimensional equally accurate measurements at multiple points of the investigated object, lying in line.
EFFECT: shorter time interval for taking measurements during prolonged and continuous geodetic monitoring, while ensuring accuracy of measurements on long routes and sections thereof.
