FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method of monitoring of uniform tension and alignment of flat elastic materials consists in mechanical measurement and monitoring of tension forces. Meanwhile the properties of sound vibrations to interfere at coincidence of frequencies of different sources of radiation, forming a sound resonance, and as a reference source of sound vibrations the musical tuning fork tuned to a certain wavelength f0 is used, and simultaneous tapping on a film surface and tuning fork until occurrence of sound vibrations of a film and a reference source is performed. Meanwhile the gradual tension of the studied material leads to interference of sound waves at which the condition of f0=fk or λ0k is satisfied, and resonance effect is registered. The device comprises laser, telescopic system, roller position clamp, fixing device clip, guiding film limiters, film, coupled double hammer, probe and tuning fork connected to the unit of comparison of sound vibrations.

EFFECT: improvement of accuracy of measurements, optimisation of parameters, simplification of design and considerable reduction of time and labour input.
