FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing a thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer which includes reacting a hydroxyl-containing oligoester with excess diphenylmethane diisocyanate, followed by reacting the obtained pseudo-prepolymer with a mixture of polyols containing 1,4-butanediol and a diol with a higher molecular weight, wherein the hydroxyl-containing oligoester used is polyethylene adipate diol with molecular weight of 2000, the mixture of polyols used is a mixture of 1,4-butanediol and polydiethylene adipate diol with molecular weight of 800, wherein at the first synthesis step, the pseudo-prepolymer is obtained with molar ratio of polyethylene adipate diol with molecular weight of 2000 to diphenylmethane diisocyanate of 1:2.5-1:3 respectively, and the mixture of polyols used at the second synthesis step corresponds to the molar ratio of butanediol to polydiethylene adipate diol with molecular weight of 800 from 0l.2:0.8 to 0.6:0.4, with overall molar ratio at said step of isocyanate groups to hydroxyl groups of 0.98-0.99.

EFFECT: method of producing a thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer, which enables synthesis of a composition with Shore hardness of up to 50-70 units, while enabling processing thereof at 120°C and maintaining high strength properties.
