FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: parking brake in the first version includes brake rigging with braking cylinder, electric motor, driving mechanism to engage and release the parking brake, device for coupling driving mechanism with brake rigging. Electric motor and driving mechanism are mounted on separate frame pivotally connected by its one side by means of pins with locomotive body bracket, and by its other side resting on at least one spring and containing abutment screw for setting value of braking cylinder rod withdrawal after parking brake action. Proposed parking brake in the second version includes driving mechanism. The driving mechanism is made as hoist with its own electric drive and rope for remote manual release of hoist brake. The driving mechanism is mounted on separate frame pivotally connected by its one side by means of pins with locomotive body bracket, and by its other side resting on at least one spring and containing abutment screw for setting value of braking cylinder rod withdrawal after parking brake action.

EFFECT: higher reliability of locomotive braking on path slopes when parking brake is activated, simplification of structure for parking brake operation when braking and release are executed remotely with no personnel participation, possibility to control locomotive parking brake action by value of braking cylinder rod withdrawal.
