FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: analysed object is placed in an optical system which includes optically-linked analyser, polariser and lens. In translucent light, the analysed object becomes a source of secondary radiation. Radiation from the analysed object and radiation passing through the analysed object is directed to the matrix of a CCD camera, through which a poly-polarisation picture of the analysed object is obtained and said picture is compared with available reference images to enable unique identification of the analysed object. The composition and quality of the analysed object is determined after analysing the obtained poly-polarisation picture of the object on a range of additional factors.
EFFECT: enabling visual and highly reliable determination of the structural composition of an analysed object for purposes of identification and objective determination of the quality thereof.
