FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of instrumentation. One preliminarily determines the actual value of the transducer conversion factor; immediately upon the vibration transducer installation on the operation site one determines and memorises the capacity of the vibration transducer with the cable and the structural factor. During periodical calibrations, forced mechanical oscillations are induced in the piezoelectric vibration transducer (PVT) installed on the operation site that is being calibrated by way of supplying a variable frequency electric harmonic signal to the transducer electrodes. One measures the setting resonance and anti-resonance frequencies and the capacity of the vibration transducer inclusive of the connective cable. One corrects the current value of the PVT structural factor as compared to its value obtained during initial calibration. By the obtained values of the parameters reflecting the current technical condition of the PVT being calibrated, one calculates the latter's actual conversion factor and variations in frequency response within the operating band as of the calibration date.
EFFECT: technical effect consists in the possibility of periodical calibration of a piezoelectric vibration transducer without its dismantlement from the installation site.
