FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: turbine has stationary and rotating elements, seal ring being fitted in stationary element one groove to slide therein. Said groove has upstream and downstream side surfaces. Proposed method comprises the steps that follow. Said seal ring comprises head and body with throttling elements extending radially therefrom. At least one set of suspension devices is used to suspend said seal ring in design radial clearance. Transducer is arranged between throttling elements. Said transducer is connected with said set of suspension devices so that said set supports said seal ring in design radial clearance without damaging of throttling elements every time transducer gets in contact with rotating element. Another method comprises the steps that follow. Definition of central lengthwise element relative to which runs said rotating element. Design radial clearance between the longest throttling element of floating seal ring and rotating element outer surface is defined. Floating seal ring is fitted in place to slide therein. Said seal ring comprises body with throttling elements, head and at least one transducer connected with at least one set of suspension devices and is fitted in stationary element groove for coaxial suspension of said seal ring in said design radial clearance with the help of said set. Floating seal ring is supported in said design radial clearance. Said design radial clearance is recovered every time aforesaid transducer stays in contact with rotating element.
EFFECT: decreased leaks of working fluid.
