FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: steam turbine comprises a rotary component comprising multiple blades spaced along the circumference, which are distanced in axial positions. Each of multiple blades has a crown with an adjacent bandage shelf, which includes one or more sealing teeth. The steam turbine also comprises many diaphragms, every of which has an outer and an inner ring of a diaphragm. Each outer ring of the diaphragm has a channel arranged in it, which connects the end of high pressure with the end of low pressure. A component closing the gap comprises many devices that close the gap. Each of many devices that close the gap is arranged near each appropriate outer ring of the diaphragm and one or more sealing teeth of the bandage shelf of the blade. Each of many gap-closing devices is driven by pressure drop caused in the channel of the appropriate outer ring of the diaphragm, which provides for sealing of a steam flow path by means of one or more sealing teeth of the bandage shelf of the blade and the outer ring of the diaphragm.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of a steam turbine, increased ability of maintenance and repair of various turbine parts.
