FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: combined support consists of body (1) with installed rolling bearing (2) and shaft (3), which inner surface is provided with slots, in which blocks (5) and resilient elements (4) are installed, which are used as the elements of shaft (3) installation and attachment on rolling bearing outer ring (2) at the moments of start-ups and shutdowns. Ring (8) of friction material is installed on rolling bearing outer ring (2) as well as circular corrugated element (6) and resilient lobe (7) are installed in body (1) to shape a radial lobe-type gas-dynamic plain bearing working in the basic mode of unit functioning with antifriction bushing (10) arranged at the external surface of shaft (3).

EFFECT: increased rotor rotational speed and improvement of its stability, increased durability of the support assembly in general at unchanged overall dimensions, extended area of application of this type of supports and increasing reliability due to separation and duplication of functions of rolling bearings and plain bearings in different modes of operation.
