FIELD: mechanical engineering; rotary machines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rotary machines to which higher requirements as to speed and possibility of multiple startings (stoppings) are imposed. Proposed combination support contains housing accommodating antifriction bearing and multiwedge hydraulic sliding bearing support surfaces of which are resilient lobes on inner surface of shaft and outer race of antifriction bearing. Antifriction bushing installed in housing forms smooth hydrodynamic sliding bearing with outer surface of shaft.
EFFECT: increased service life and improved reliability of "rotor-supports" system by separating and doubling of functions of antifriction and sliding bearings.
