FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: 0.05 ml of a mixture of drug solutions, consisting of three parts: 0.02 ml of a 1% adrenalin solution, 0.02 ml of a 1% mesatonum solution and 0.01 ml of a 2% lidocaine solution is introduced by injection into the area of the limb on the boundary of non-transparent and transparent parts of the cornea. Injection is performed by means of an injection needle of 27 gauge (27G) in a dose of 1/3 of the mixture volume in three points: on 12 o'clock, 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock. The needle is punctured in to the depth S of the cornea thickness.
EFFECT: quick achievement of maximally possible and long-lasting drug dilution of the rigid pupil immediately before performing phacoemulsification, which is not accompanied by intra-operative ophthalmological and somatic complications.
