SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an assembly of power supply of an overhead line (1), suspended on a fixed support (2) and comprising a fixed section and a movable or flexible section (5), comprising current collectors (9) to ensure power supply to a vehicle (4) by means of an upper grip structure (11) on a vehicle roof when passing or stopping under the assembly of power supply of the overhead line. Power is not supplied to current collectors, when the power supply assembly (1) is in the initial position, and is supplied, when the power supply assembly (1) or its movable or flexible section (5) moves with approach of the front part of the upper grip structure (11) of the vehicle for the power supply assembly (1), contacting with current collectors (9), thus sending power supply to the vehicle.
EFFECT: after passage of a vehicle, a movable section of a power supply assembly (1) automatically returns to initial position, when power is not supplied to current collectors.
