FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, namely, to metal hardening in processing. Billet is formed by punch extrusion via channels and by feed of pulse or direct current to the billet along with ultrasound effects. Current is fed to the billet by connection of negative pole to the punch and positive pole to billet end in outlet channel. Ultrasound is fed across current density vector.

EFFECT: intensified plastic straining, lower straining force, higher process efficiency, better metal properties.
