METHOD TO CONTROL CARRIAGE TRAVEL IN INSTALLATION FOR TRANSPORTATION OVER AERIAL ROPEWAY Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC B61B12/02 B61B7/04 

FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method to control carriage (V₁, V_i) travel in installation (1) for transportation over aerial ropeway. The mentioned installation contains carriages (V₁, V_i) with disengageable clamps which carriages travel at a speed of flow D, haulage rope (2) driven at a speed of drawing Vc to move carriages (V₁, V_i) when they are connected with the rope (2), and at least one passenger entraining and/or detraining station containing at least one section where carriages (V₁, V_i) disconnected from the rope (2) are driven by station driving means. The method includes phase of counter threshold value (S_n, T) determination which value corresponds to maximum length of rope haulage and changes depending on rope drawing speed Vc and/or carriages (V₁, V_i) flow speed D; phase of detection including detection signal transmitting when carriages (V₁, V_i) are passing at least one stationary beacon (R₁, R_n+1); phase of measuring value (L_n,i, K_{n, i+1}) characterising length of haulage rope drawing (2) between two detection signals; and phase of diagnostics of carriages (V₁, V_i) passing at a station by comparing counter threshold value (S_n, T) with variable (L_n,i, K_{n, i+1}), characterising length of haulage rope drawing. Proposed invention also relates to device for control and installation for transportation over aerial ropeway.

EFFECT: higher loading of ropeway without decreasing its reliability.
